IPHEx

The Global Hydrology Resource Center (GHRC) published the GPM Ground Validation Vaisala Ceilometer IPHEx dataset.

The Global Hydrology Resource Center (GHRC) has published three Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Ground Validation datasets from the Integrated Precipitation and Hydrology EXperiment (IPHEX) field campaign held in North Carolina from May 1, 2014 through June 14, 2014.

GHRC will be supporting the GPM Ground Validation mission Integrated Precipitation and Hydrology Experiment (IPHEx) which takes place in North Carolina during May and June 2014. GHRC has developed, tested and promoted code which ingests data and creates real-time browse images for the GOES -13 satellite and seven NEXRAD II stations. These images are staged in the IPHEx Portal for forecasting and other scientists’ use. GHRC is in the process of obtaining other requested ancillary datasets for the campaign.

GHRC continues to prepare for and support the upcoming GPM Ground Validation campaign, Integrated Precipitation and Hydrology EXperiment (IPHEX), by ingesting real time ancillary data for the IPHEX portal. The intensive observation period for IPHEX will begin April 28.
