Microphysics flight report 08/24

We collected good data with CAPS, CDP, and RICE, including a high altitude

spiral descent/ascent (30-40K feet), and many long level legs in convective anvils.

The PIP laser failed about 1.5 hours after take-off during a convective pass and was

not operational for the remainder of the flight.  The instrument has been shipped for

repair and is expected to be ready for a potential Saturday flight.
