Mission Synopsis for Sept. 19, 2010
The current system of interest is PGI46
NOAA/IFEX:
No flights scheduled for next few days for G-IV, P3 42 or P3 43.
NASA/GRIP:
The DC-8 will do a suitcase deployment to St. Croix on Monday 20 Sept. to target PGI46. Science fly-days will be on Tuesday and Wednesday with landing back in Ft. Lauderdale Wed. evening. Tuesday 21 Sept. takeoff time will be arranged to coincide Calipso at 17Z.
The Global Hawk is planning vibration testing 20 September. Tuesday 21 Sept. will be dropsonde ramp test and tech brief. Wednesday 22 Sept. will be the possible dropsonde test flights.
The WB57 is waiting for a possible storm to fly.
NSF/PREDICT:
The GV will fly Monday 20 Sept centered on 13N 55W. (T/O: 12Z, duration 6 hours). Plans are to fly again Tuesday 21 Sept. same takeoff time and duration.
AIR FORCE:
No flights at this time.
