Update as of 1700 UTC, Monday, 25 April 2011

Only light precipitation is expected over northern Oklahoma later this afternoon and evening.  Ground based facilities will continue to operate.  Soundings will be at the 3-per day interval.  Looking ahead, we have tentatively set a takeoff time for the ER-2 and UND Citation for 03Z on Wednesday, 27 April.  Stronger convective activity is expected late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning (local time) in our research area.  The Mission Scientists and forecasters will meet at 7 PM LT tonight and issue a update by 8 PM LT.  We will place phone calls to both aircraft facilities as part of this update activity.
