We have decided to scrub this morning's ER-2 mission due to a much faster progression of the convection through KS/OK, shutting down the possibility of noon-time convection as was previously forecasted.
We have rescheduled for an evening takeoff tonight (01 Z, 8 PM CDT) for a 5 hour flight, to fly expected convection over West Texas. Citation would launch at 02 Z if their radar is fixed. If that convective system does not pan out, we would fly precipitation outside of our domain with HIWRAP in non-transmitting mode.
Last mission is scheduled at this point to launch at 21:30 Z Wednesday (6:30 PM CDT) to fly organized convection expected in OK.
