May 29 Mission Science Report
Today, the ER-2 flew the prescribed land surface mission over Oklahoma, coordinated with MAPIR, in early afternoon. Take off time was 18 Z (13 CDT). The ER-2 then flew to perform a calibration over buoys over the Gulf of Mexico. The HIWRAP had a red/light reset about the time of arrival at the first way point over the Gulf. After returning most of the way to SGP before performing the second land surface pattern, the ER-2 was called immediately back to base due to dryline convection near Offut. Overall, mission objectives were well accomplished by the ER-2.
No update on Citation status. We have revised the ER-2 takeoff for 02Z (2100 LT) for tomorrow.
