May 7 Mission Science Report
Ocean calibration flight for the ER-2, with a flight across Gulf of Mexico buoys near the TX-LA border. It appears to have been successful. Nav data from REVEAL did not show up in RTMM, and FlightAware tracking was too sporadic to verify (in real time) the flight pattern over the buoys. Only a few clouds; weather conditions were good for the cal. Instruments appeared to operate well enough (not perfectly) for the calibration flight to have been useful. See individual instrument status updates for details.
