Dropsonde – Cindy Bradley and NCAR team flying out to DFRC to integrate dropsonde instrument

Dropsonde need a test flight in range and an high altitude flight (which could be combined with a science flight?)

Instruments
- Microphysics – particle probes performed well on test flight. Update on CSI pylon tomorrow
- MMS – green flight ready
- DAWN – yellow - see clouds but not aerosols. Laser behaving erratically. Many variables to tweak. Not sure what to repair at this point. Trailer arrives Thursday + 1-day to de-integrate + 3-5days to repair + integrate and re-flight. So 5-7 days after
- APR-2 – no report
- LASE – green. Excellent shape
- LARGE – green.
Hard Down day call is 12noon the day before
Currently the latest day for a hard down is Wednesday
DC-8 might fly TD#5 on Tuesday, 17Aug- decision at today’s16Z meeting
