Flight 19 PGL-44 #3
Tuesday, September 14, 2010
LASE worked very well during the entire flight. We had good sampling legs on the way out and back and also on the edges of the storm out of clouds. We saw some elevated aerosol scattering on the way out above the BL and during the time over the storm the cirrus tops were extending up to 17km. The last 10min of operation were on a decent leg down to 10kft for MMS maneuvers and we made a choice to transmit most of the energy in the zenith to compare with the nadir measurements.
