APR2 Status for Sep 1 Post Flight
Wednesday, September 1, 2010
APR-2 collected data on all eye passes and outside legs around Earl. Only one problem was noted - we failed to record data during the first portion of the second eye pass. We believe that data started recording in the SE eyewall and continued trhough the rest of the pass. The resulting file has an incorrect heard and will be fixed for processing.
The data on the first pass showed a small area of precipitation within the eye, possibly remnant of an inner eyewall. The remaining passes shoed a very clear and aparently contracting eye.
