GOES-R Science Week Meeting

Welcome to the 2011 GOES-R Science Meeting! The meeting will once again take place in the National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) in Huntsville, AL, on September 19-23.
The GLM Annual Science Meeting will take place 19-20 September 2011 at the NSSTC in Room 4078.
Meeting Goal: Review the progresses and accomplishments of the GLM Science and Application Team over the past year and make recommendations for the coming year.
Meeting Objectives:
- Review the progress of GLM research over the past year.
- Review validation plans and possible field campaigns.
- Discuss/review priorities for the coming year.
The Risk Reduction Annual Meeting will take place 21-23 September 2011at the NSSTC in Room 4078.
Meeting Goal: Recognize the accomplishments of the GOES-R Risk Reduction Program participants over the past year and make recommendations for the coming year.
Meeting Objectives:
- Review the progress of GOES-R Risk Reduction continuing projects over the past year.
- Present results/issues/science from the GOES-R Risk Reduction participants including: data fusion applications/techniques, proxy data and interactions with anticipated end-users.
- Discuss/review/finalize objectives for all projects for the coming year.
- Inform the GOES-R Program Office and the GOES-R Risk Reduction Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on the status of the GOES-R Risk Reduction program.
